Folklore has evolved significantly, as America’s legendary heroes have been frontier trappers, cowboys, policemen, soldiers, masked men, caped superheroes and science fiction men-of-action such as Buck Rodgers, Flash Gordon, Han Solo, and of course…Captain Kirk of the Starship Enterprise.
